There’s more to the decluttering process than going through a few boxes which this project presented to us. Approximately 80% of the basement needed to be decluttered and downsized.
This resident like many had stored family and friend’s articles in their basement over the years. Some of those friends or family members had passed, while others had moved away. The Renaissance Lifestyles team went in, sorted, purged, shredded and donated articles after carefully going through each box to ensure nothing of value was discarded. Since we were clearing out the downstairs to hold some of the upstairs furniture before the reno, it was important that we had room for the contractors to work their magic!
